Diotyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride (DDAC) is a twin-chain quaternary ammonium compound that provides controlled foam biocidal action. It has been found to exhibit low, fast-breaking foam with exceptional dynamic, controlled foam performance in FIFRA1-registered hard surface disinfectants, sanitizers, and certain types of water treatment formulations. DDAC delivers potent germicidal action against a broad spectrum of microbial organisms, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and algae, even under heavy organic soil loads and complex water conditions.
Usage:
Diotyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride (DDAC) is a quaternary ammonium-based antimicrobial used as a bacteriostat, disinfectant, or micro biocide. It is ideal for recirculation water systems where control of undesirable microbes without excessive foam is essential.
DDAC has been found to be effective in a variety of fields, including injection water treatment in oilfields and industrial circulating cooling systems, fungi, and bacteria disinfection, wood preservative agents, and textile moth-proofing agents. Additionally, it can also be used with chlorine dioxide when treating hard surfaces to eliminate bacteria.
