Product Description

CAS NO. 7414-83-7

Dequest 2016BD

Molecular Formula: C2H6O7P2Na2

Structural Formula:

HEDP•Na2

Properties:

HEDP•Na2 is an organophosphorus acid corrosion inhibitor that can chelate with Fe, Cu, and Zn ions, providing excellent scale and corrosion inhibition effects even under temperatures such as 250℃. It demonstrates excellent stability even under elevated pH levels and has good tolerance for acidic/alkaline solutions and chlorine oxidation. It is not easily hydrolyzed or decomposed under normal light and heat conditions. Additionally, it forms six-ring chelating compounds with metal ions in the water system, particularly Ca2+, and has good scale inhibition effects as well as dissolution threshold effects. Furthermore, when combined with other Water Treatment Chemicals, the synergistic results are further enhanced.

HEDP•Na2  Usage:

HEDP•Na2 is widely used in different fields for scale and corrosion inhibition, such as electric power, chemical industry, metallurgy, fertilizer, circulating excellent water systems, medium to low-pressure boilers, and oil field pipelines. Additionally, it can be utilized as a detergent for both metal and nonmetal in the light-weaved industry and a dyes fixation agent within the dyeing industry. In non-cyanide electroplating processes, this organophosphorus acid acts as an effective chelating agent.
