EDTMPS is a nitrogenous organic polyphosphoric acid and a potent cathodic corrosion inhibitor that can be dissolved in water, making it innocuous and non-polluting. This chemical has exceptional stability and tolerance to thermal conditions, displaying potent scale inhibition under temperatures of up to 200℃. Furthermore, EDTMPS can dissociate into 8 positive-negative ions, which it uses to chelate with multiple metal ions forming polymer reticulation complexes that disrupt the normal crystallization of calcium scale. Additionally, this acid has efficacy over calcium and barium sulfate, providing more efficient antiscalant effects than conventional inorganic polyphosphates.

Usage:
EDTMPS can be employed as a corrosion inhibitor in circulating cool water systems and boilers while operating with the recommended 2-10mg/L concentration alone. This organotransition metal chelate is an ideal chelating agent for non-cyanogen electroplating operations and has been tested as a water-softening additive in printing and dyeing operations. Moreover, EDTMPS is also compatible with HPMA, BTA, PAAS, and zinc salt when mixing by a predetermined ratio of 1:3 ETDMP: HPMA for more efficient low-pressure boiler performance.
