Wet Strength Agent (PAE 12.5%) — light yellow liquid by VCYCLETECH

Wet Strength Agent (PAE) — Manufacturer & Supplier

A wet strength agent is a polyamideamine-epichlorohydrin (PAE) resin that lets tissue and paper keep their strength when wet. VCYCLETECH manufactures a 12.5% solid-content PAE wet strength agent — a light-yellow, water-soluble, environmentally friendly liquid for face tissue, pocket tissue and other tissue grades.

  • Active: PAE resin (polyamideamine-epichlorohydrin)

Description

VCYCLETECH wet strength agent is a polyamideamine-epichlorohydrin (PAE) resin that gives paper durable wet strength — the ability to retain tensile strength after it is wetted. It is the standard wet-strength chemistry for tissue paper and performs across a wide pH range, ideally neutral to weakly alkaline. The product is water-soluble, has good storage stability, and paper made with it is easy to repulp and recycle.

Performance & features

  • Water-soluble and environmentally friendly.
  • High efficiency with good synergistic wet-strength performance over a wide pH range (best at neutral / weakly alkaline).
  • Good storage stability.
  • Broken or waste paper made with the product is recycled conveniently.
  • Can be dosed in a variety of ways.

Applications

Wet-strength resin for tissue paper — facial tissue, pocket tissue, napkins, kitchen towel and similar grades that must stay strong when wet. Also suitable as a general PAE wet-strength additive for other paper and board grades.

Dosage & application methods

  • Add to the machine chest with the stock controlled at 2–4 wt% consistency; we can advise the optimum addition point for your system.
  • Dilute with pure water before use for better dispersion and wet-strength performance.
  • Typical dosage: 0.5–15 kg per ton of paper, depending on the wet strength required.
  • Dose into the paper machine with a metering pump or high-viscosity pump.

Packaging, storage & lead time

  • Packing: 50 kg / 200 kg / 1000 kg drums (other packing on request).
  • Store in a shady, cool, dry, ventilated place; protect from freezing. Shelf life: 6 months.
  • MOQ and lead time on request; in-stock items typically ship in 5–7 days.

Frequently asked questions

What is a wet strength agent?

A wet strength agent is a chemical — most commonly a PAE (polyamideamine-epichlorohydrin) resin — added to paper so it keeps a large part of its tensile strength after it becomes wet. It is essential for tissue products that must not fall apart in use.

What is PAE wet strength resin?

PAE (polyamideamine-epichlorohydrin) is a cationic thermosetting resin that bonds with cellulose fibres to form a water-resistant network. It is the most widely used wet-strength agent for tissue and is effective at neutral to weakly alkaline pH.

What is the dosage of wet strength agent?

Typical dosage is 0.5–15 kg per ton of paper, depending on the wet strength required. Dilute with pure water and add to the machine chest (stock 2–4 wt%) via a metering or high-viscosity pump.

Is this wet strength agent suitable for tissue paper?

Yes. This 12.5% PAE wet strength agent is designed for tissue paper such as facial tissue, pocket tissue, napkins and kitchen towel.

What is the solid content and shelf life?

Solid content is 12.5 ± 0.5%; the product is a light yellow transparent liquid with viscosity ~50 mPa·s and pH 4.0–5.0. Shelf life is 6 months when stored cool, dry and protected from freezing.

Do you provide a COA, samples and OEM?
