Paper Mill Wastewater Treatment — Decoloring Agent + PAC + PAM
This video demonstrates paper mill wastewater treatment using a water decoloring agent together with PAC (poly aluminium chloride) and PAM (polyacrylamide) to remove color, COD and suspended solids. VCYCLETECH is a China-based manufacturer of decoloring agents, coagulants and flocculants for paper, textile and dyeing wastewater.
What you'll see in this video
- Dark, colored paper mill effluent before treatment.
- Dosing of water decoloring agent + PAC + PAM and rapid floc formation.
- Clear, decolorized water after coagulation, flocculation and settling.
How the decolorization works
Paper mill and dyeing wastewater carries dissolved dyes and lignin that ordinary coagulants alone cannot remove. A cationic water decoloring agent neutralizes the anionic dye molecules; PAC coagulates the fine colloids; and a small dose of PAM bridges the destabilized particles into large, fast-settling flocs — together cutting color and COD sharply.
Typical dosing sequence
- 1) Decoloring agent — neutralize the dye charge (jar-test to the target color removal).
- 2) PAC — coagulate colloids and suspended solids.
- 3) PAM — flocculate and settle; clarify the supernatant.
Applications
Paper & pulp mills, textile dyeing, printing and ink wastewater, and other high-color industrial effluent.
