About solid ATMP (Amino Trimethylene Phosphonic Acid)

ATMP (CAS 6419-19-8, formula N(CH₂PO₃H₂)₃) is an organophosphonic acid used as a scale and corrosion inhibitor in circulating cooling water, low-pressure boilers and oilfield water. It chelates calcium, magnesium and other metal ions to prevent calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate scale, and also serves as a chelating agent and detergent builder. The solid (crystalline) grade has a high active content and lower shipping weight than 50% liquid ATMP, which makes it convenient for long-distance export and on-site dilution.

Solid vs liquid ATMP — which to choose

Liquid ATMP (50%) is ready to dose; solid ATMP (~95% active) is preferred when buyers want a lower freight cost per active kilogram, longer shelf stability, or local re-dilution. Both deliver the same threshold scale-inhibition performance — VCYCLETECH supplies both grades.
