Met het gebruik van ATBS.Na is het mogelijk om carbonzuurmonomeren zoals acrylzuur of methacrylzuur te vervangen zonder de mechanische stabiliteit en weerstand tegen tweewaardige kationen in acryl-, vinylacetaat-acrylaat- en styreen-acryl-emulsiesystemen in gevaar te brengen. Bovendien heeft ATBS.Na een goede weerstand tegen hydrolyse en thermische stabiliteit en geeft het een soepele, flexibele en comfortabele warmte aan coatings wanneer emulsies worden toegevoegd.
